4 Yard Winterizing Tasks

The last few sunny and warm days of fall are behind us, and overnight temperatures are getting closer to freezing. Winter is coming – here are 4 tasks you should complete in your yard before it arrives.

1. Winterize Your Sprinkler System – Make sure to clear our your pipes and prep your sprinkler system so you don’t discover a burst pipe next spring, or in the dead of winter!
2. Trim Trees & Shrubs – Pruning back for winter means healthier growth come spring. Here’s a few tips to help.
3. Add bark dust to your beds – Keeping your beds warm and protected in the fall means your plants and garden will look great come spring.
4. Apply Pre-emergents for beds and gardens – This will help to keep your beds weed free this winter!
